“The track is a no-holds-barred jam anchored on unfiltered bars with punchy drums and cinematic flutes that evoke urgency and adrenalin-pumping action.” – Word Is Bond
Word Is Bond has included Kaboom Atomic x The Dirty Sample’s “I Don’t Expect You To Get It” from their new album 2 Cents on their list of Top 10 Submission for February 2025 along with a very short review.
The new album from Kaboom Atomic x The Dirty Sample is out now!
Kaboom Atomic x The Dirty Sample’s collaboration album, 2 Cents, is the opus of two old heads barking at the moon and hating on modern rap. It’s not that they hate modern rap; this is just the stuff they love. Instead of glorifying youth to an unfair degree, the duo lean in on their age and experience to bring you a sound that is weathered with grumpiness. And humour. The Dirty Sample’s dusty, uptempo boom bap beats provide a fun backdrop for Kaboom Atomic’s mostly serious subject matter that is delivered with a sense of humour in a frequently fast-paced flow. And though the title obviously refers to the two cents given by these two old gents, it also does double duty as a subtle critique of the little money paid to artists for Spotify plays. Can Kaboom Atomic x The Dirty Sample break even?

A snap Ontario election is happening on February 27, so Epic & Deadly Stare have released this new non-album single inspired by a press conference given by our disgusting Premier who is hoping to win another four years. Is “Fug Dord” a protest song? Silly satire? Random weirdness? You decide! But please vote for anyone other than that asshole Doug Ford!
In the midst of promoting their upcoming new album, A library called Calder, Epic & Deadly Stare drop this non-album track to call out the Ontario premier as we head into election day in Ontario. “Fug Dord” is a short, silly track that mocks the infamous hash dealer turned crony capitalist premier over a cool reggae beat from Deadly Stare. Inspired by a bizarre news conference with Doug Ford addressing car theft.

What better way to celebrate this day of love than with a new beat from The Dirty Sample? After his last few albums of dark and vengeful hip hop, TDS returns with an album of love dropping Spring 2025. And the first single is out today! “Just One” is a feel-good boom bap beat dedicated to those who work hard to spend their lives with the ones they love, through the distress and the delights.
We hope “Just One” will help you find your just one (or at least a lust one) this Valentine’s Day. Increase your chances by playing this song as much as possible!
Love ya!
