The third and final single from Bassments of Badmen 4 is “Change” by Birdapres, Nolto, Thesis Sahib & Touch. The song is catchy and uplifting.
The third and final single from Bassments of Badmen 4 is a posse cut that is a declaration of individuality and acceptance of who you are. Pasquale delivers a chill instrumental that layers xylophone sounds and guitar riffs over stuttering boom bap drums for a clean, minimal backdrop on which Birdapres, Nolto, Thesis Sahib, and Touch demonstrate their individuality in both lyrics and delivery. But the highlight of “Change” is the mid-song chorus that combines the sing-song harmonies of Nolto and Thesis for a catchy hook that breaks the message down to the simple advice of “You will convince me I’m not perfect, I refuse to change”. The perfect song for when you need that little pick me up.

A true friend is one that always has a place for you to stay. Canadian emcees Ira Lee and Epic offer up this amenity to old friends with their two part song as the first single from their upcoming collab album, Music for the Advancement of Prairie Rap. On “Place to Stay Pt 1”, Ira Lee offers his spare bedroom with a dry wit while guest MC Jay the Rapper waxes nostalgic and Epic lays down a feel good chorus. On “Place to Stay Pt 2”, Epic takes the reigns as he offer his basement with a heartfelt pair of verses and a variation on the chorus from Part 1. The single also has a demo version of Part 2 that demonstrates a slight change in delivery in the first verse, and a whole other second verse. For all versions, Jay the Producer provides a chill minimalist beat that is mostly acoustic guitar and drums with spacey effects weaving in and out. “Place to Stay” is just two friends being true friends.
