The second single from The Dirty Sample’s Love Always Wins If You Let It…
One look and the chaos of the world comes together into unity. All of this madness leads the eyes to love, and love is seen everywhere. Even the darkest places still have love. You just have to be looking. Because love always wins if you let it. You just need the vision. And The Dirty Sample helps inspire this vision with a chill boom bap beat built out of slamming drums and horn stabs.

“Those horns? They don’t just come in—they kick the door open, setting the stage for a braggadocious, road-tested flow.” – Folded Waffle
A very excellent review of Epic & Deadly Stare’s “Turntables in the Van”, the new rap tour anthem and second single from their upcoming album, A library called Calder.
Epic & Deadly Stare have released the new rap tour anthem!
Capturing the dizzying buzz of the road and the excitement of nightly shows with horns, claps, and raps, “Turntables in the Van” cranks up the boom bap and takes us along for the ride. Inspired in part after witnessing Fugazi’s tour van washing machine routine and realizing the need to tour smartly, especially when traversing Canada’s vast landscape. Epic and Deadly Stare cram the band into the van to bring their music to the people. What is a band without turntables, anyway?

Folded Waffle gave a review to “I Don’t Expect You To Get It” from Kaboom Atomic x The Dirty Sample’s new album, 2 Cents.
“The track is a no-holds-barred jam anchored on unfiltered bars with punchy drums and cinematic flutes that evoke urgency and adrenalin-pumping action.” – Word Is Bond
Word Is Bond has included Kaboom Atomic x The Dirty Sample’s “I Don’t Expect You To Get It” from their new album 2 Cents on their list of Top 10 Submission for February 2025 along with a very short review.
The new album from Kaboom Atomic x The Dirty Sample is out now!
Kaboom Atomic x The Dirty Sample’s collaboration album, 2 Cents, is the opus of two old heads barking at the moon and hating on modern rap. It’s not that they hate modern rap; this is just the stuff they love. Instead of glorifying youth to an unfair degree, the duo lean in on their age and experience to bring you a sound that is weathered with grumpiness. And humour. The Dirty Sample’s dusty, uptempo boom bap beats provide a fun backdrop for Kaboom Atomic’s mostly serious subject matter that is delivered with a sense of humour in a frequently fast-paced flow. And though the title obviously refers to the two cents given by these two old gents, it also does double duty as a subtle critique of the little money paid to artists for Spotify plays. Can Kaboom Atomic x The Dirty Sample break even?
