Mickey O’Brien’s Post Cards EP out now!

The new EP from Mickey O’Brien is out now on digital, coke bottle clear vinyl, and a CD packaged with 6 postcards inspired by the songs on the EP.

On his latest EP, Nickel City MC Mickey O’Brien takes us on a journey around the world with these five new songs he penned while on tour of Japan, Australia, Ireland, the UK, France and across Canada. These songs are postcards written by the MC to himself about what he was going through at the time, like a tour diary. Whether it was closing out old chapters of his life, learning about new philosophies in the East, or discovering his roots in Ireland, each song serves as a reminder of where he’s been as well as an opportunity for fans to experience a sliver of these trips. Post Cards is produced by Fresh Kils, co-produced by O’Brien, and is a family affair with features from many of his usual collaborators: Sarah Craig and Annie Q on vocals, Uncle Fester on cuts, Zachary Clement on keys, Geoff McCausland on violin, and new to the crew, Petr Balaz on guitar. The EP is available on coke bottle clear vinyl and in a CD package that includes a series of six postcards inspired by these songs, along with the usual digital release. With his Post Cards EP, you, too, can live vicariously through the voyages of Mickey O’Brien from the comfort of your own home!

Swim the depths and “Die in the Deep” with The Dirty Sample

New single from The Dirty Sample’s Beats To Murder Rappers 2 out now!

For the second single from his upcoming instrumental album, Beats To Murder Rappers 2, The Dirty Sample gets deep. But he’s no longer underground, he’s underwater. You don’t want to get too close to the water’s edge or you’ll be dragged down into the depths of this dark, murky beat to be toyed with like orcas with their prey. Dragged to the bottom to “Die in the Deep”. And you thought it was finally safe to go near the water!

Magick Show’s “Massacre” reviewed by Folded Waffle

Magick Show’s latest track, Massacre (feat. Uncle Fester), unleashes a wild ride of high-energy, chaotic lyricism paired with a beat that’s impossible to ignore. ” – Folded Waffle

A great review from Folded Waffle for Magick Show’s “Massacre” single, although they did mistakenly call them a duo and credited the third set of vocals to Uncle Fester. Since their previous release, Magick Show has expanded into a trio with the addition of Johnny Bizness, while Uncle Fester guests on the song as the DJ… and he provides some excellent cuts on this one!
