It’s a shame it’s taken me this long to brag about one of the more recent articles from IndieRockMag.com but a bad case of jet lag on my return from Japan has kept me out of commission for much longer than expected. However, back on July 29, one of our favourite French websites published the first part of their dual lists of Top 50 Hip Hop Albums of all time. Rabbit’s more underground-friendly list gives placement to two Hand’Solo releases – All That Is from Vancouver’s Hidden Fortress at #47 and Heatwave from Canada-wide crew Backburner at #41 – and the single “Ain’t No Thang” from Toronto’s Angerville places at no particular number in the 81-101 range of the Top 101 Hip Hop Singles. Thanks for including our music amongst the likes of El-P, Themselves, Anti-Pop Consortium, The Roots… and Stetsasonic (what?!). We’re honoured.
